Elsa Mickayla is a Singapore-based singer, producer, songwriter, and content creator. She has released one EP and three singles from her upcoming album, including “Say It To Me,” “LAY LOW,” and “Just Us.” In addition to her solo work, she produces for fellow artist Ilina Hats and is a key creative member of The Island Voices, contributing as a singer, producer and arranger.
Her performance journey with The Island Voices has brought her to national and international stages. In 2022 and 2023, she performed in Singapore’s National Day Parade, appearing in both the live shows and official music videos. In 2023, she travelled with the group to Taiwan to perform at a regional a cappella festival. In 2024, she performed at Vokal.Total in Austria — one of Europe’s most prominent a cappella competitions. In 2025, she took the stage at the Hong Kong A Cappella Festival at Queen Elizabeth Stadium and Osaka World Expo, marking one of the group’s most high-profile international performances to date.
That same year, Elsa and The Island Voices were awarded a Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award (CARA) for Best Asian Album or EP for their live album “R&B Night with The Island Voices.” She also made a guest appearance on Channel 5’s game show “I Can See Your Voice” in 2025, expanding her reach into broadcast media.
Elsa is also a dedicated vocal coach with over eight years of teaching experience. She works closely with students of all ages and levels, focusing on technical development and performance readiness. She is one of the organisers of Soustice — a student recital event co-run by three vocal instructors, where all their students are given the opportunity to perform and showcase their progress. The event gives students a tangible goal and helps strengthen their confidence, stage presence, and overall focus in learning.
As one of the arrangers and singers for The Island Voices, Elsa co-led music arrangement masterclasses alongside Owen Li and Rhaun, sharing the group’s approach to vocal harmony, musical direction, and creative process with fellow musicians and arrangers.
Outside of music, Elsa is an experienced climber and has conducted climbing masterclasses, bringing her passion for movement and mental discipline into a different, physical space.
